Dubai has officially opened a new 700-meter, four-lane bridge situated at the busy intersection of Al Qudra Road and Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Street as part of an ongoing infrastructure initiative to streamline regional transit.
Key Project Details and Traffic Improvements
• Drastic Reduction in Wait Times: The major infrastructure upgrade is engineered to slash waiting times at the key intersection by 85%, bringing delays down from nearly 7 minutes to just 1 minute
• Increased Vehicle Capacity: The new development significantly boosts overall traffic capacity at the intersection from 7,800 vehicles per hour up to 19,400 vehicles per hour.
• Community Impact: The wider project directly benefits over 400,000 residents and visitors, improving daily connectivity and accessibility for major surrounding communities including Arabian Ranches, Mudon, DAMAC Hills, and Dubai Motor City.
