Abu Dhabi mandates pet registration via TAMM platform from February 3
Abu Dhabi has introduced mandatory registration for all dogs and cats, requiring pet owners to register their animals through the TAMM platform starting February 3, 2026.
Authorities have announced a grace period during which registration will be free of charge, encouraging residents to comply without financial penalty. However, pet owners who fail to register their animals within the stipulated timeframe will face a fine of Dh1,000.
The move aims to improve animal welfare, ensure responsible pet ownership, and enhance public health and safety across the emirate. Centralised registration will also help authorities maintain accurate records, support vaccination tracking, and respond more effectively to lost or abandoned pets.
Residents are advised to complete the process online via the TAMM platform before the grace period ends to avoid penalties.
