Panorama Studios and Zee Studios have announced plans to bring Baththa to international cinema audiences, with a worldwide theatrical release scheduled for 1 October 2026, according to a press release supplied to Gulf Good News.
Written and directed by Balaji Tharaneetharan, the Tamil film stars Vijay Sethupathi and Lijomol Jose. It is presented by Star Studio18 and Atlee and is a Cine1 Studios and A For Apple Studios production.
The announcement describes the collaboration as an effort to give the film a wider theatrical reach beyond its home market. Zee Studios’ overseas distribution operation forms part of that plan.
Panorama Studios chairman Kumar Mangat Pathak said the film’s cultural setting and emotional themes were central to the company’s interest in bringing it to audiences in other territories. A Zee Studios spokesperson said regional Indian stories were an important part of the studio’s international distribution plans.
The film is produced by Alok Jain, Ajit Andhare, Murad Khetani and Priya Atlee.
