A parade through Riyadh’s historic markets has marked the launch of Winter in Al-Dirah, a heritage-focused zone in the seventh Riyadh Season.
In a report published on 6 November 2026, the Saudi Press Agency described a procession starting at Al-Dirah Park, travelling along Al-Ataif Street and finishing at Al-Qaisareyah Square.
Celebrating a historic district
Performances along the route introduced visitors to the district’s cultural traditions and historic surroundings. The official photographs show musicians, decorated floats and visitors gathering around the celebrations.
Dirah Development Company is organising the programme, which brings together cultural, heritage and entertainment activities.
The launch adds a place for visitors to explore Riyadh’s older landmarks and markets alongside the wider Riyadh Season programme. The source announcement does not specify ticket prices or a closing date.
