The UAE is taking part in GCC ministerial meetings in Bahrain focused on industrial cooperation, standardisation and stronger regional supply chains, according to a Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology press release issued on 7 October 2026.
Dr Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, led the delegation, joined by Undersecretary Hassan Jassim Al Nowais and ministry officials. The meetings run from 6 to 8 October alongside the inaugural Made in GCC forum and exhibition at Exhibition World Bahrain.
Regional industrial partnerships
The ministry said the UAE's participation centres on closer industrial integration, more resilient supply chains and wider use of advanced technology and artificial intelligence. Private-sector partnerships are also a priority, with manufacturers, investors and technology providers exploring cooperation across the Gulf.
Bahrain's Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, visited the ministry's exhibition platform to view Emirati industrial products and capabilities.
Technology and supply chains
UAE companies are showcasing industrial and technological solutions across several sectors. The delegation is also participating in discussions covering finance, artificial intelligence, innovation, infrastructure and supply-chain resilience.
The ministry said cooperation agreements are expected during the event; the release did not confirm that those agreements had already been signed.
