Saudi Arabia’s Space Agency has launched a national awareness campaign with the Ministry of Education to encourage wider interest in space science.

Saudi Press Agency reported on October 5 that the programme brings together school activities, university participation, online science sessions and community organisations.

An updated Knowledge Space Portal forms part of the initiative. It includes educational games, interactive activities, a space encyclopedia, printable booklets, presentations and videos for use in classrooms and community settings.

The Ministry of Education is supporting activities that help students explore scientific concepts and discover their interests in space and technology.

The agency is also holding an awareness booth at King Abdullah Financial District, extending the campaign beyond educational institutions.

The initiative is linked to World Space Week. The announcement does not specify opening hours for the booth or individual session times.
