Saudi Arabia has concluded its participation in the Baku International Book Fair, bringing its literary and publishing scene to readers and cultural organisations in Azerbaijan.
The fair ran from 21 to 25 October, with the Saudi pavilion led by the Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission.
Commission chief executive Dr Abdullatif Al-Wasel said the event provided opportunities to strengthen professional relationships and develop knowledge partnerships across the book industry. The participation also aimed to help Saudi authors and publishers reach audiences in Azerbaijan and other markets.
Several Saudi institutions joined the pavilion, including King Fahd National Library, King Abdulaziz Public Library and the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Global Center for Arabic Calligraphy, known as Dar Al-Qalam.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, the coordinated showcase highlighted the country’s literary, intellectual and cultural work. It also offered a platform for exchange between publishing professionals as Saudi Arabia continues developing its international cultural links.
