Community College of Qatar is opening two new study routes in artificial intelligence and digital media, with 108 places planned for the first intake in spring 2027.
The college announced the programmes on 11 October 2026, according to Qatar News Agency. Classes are scheduled to begin on 10 January 2027, with 48 places in the Associate of Artificial Intelligence and 60 in the Associate of Digital Media.
Key dates for applicants
Transfers for students already enrolled in other CCQ majors are due to open on 18 October 2026. Registration for new applicants opens on 1 November 2026, subject to the college’s admission requirements and procedures.
Practical skills for technology and media
The two-year artificial intelligence programme comprises 60 credit hours. Its subjects include machine learning, data analysis, computer vision and AI ethics, alongside practical work in computing laboratories.
Students may be able to transfer up to 54 credit hours towards a bachelor’s degree at Qatar University, depending on the approved academic pathway and its requirements. Credit transfer is not automatic.
The two-year digital media programme covers digital writing, podcasts, web documentaries, data journalism and multimedia production.
Both programmes are intended to connect academic study with practical skills. The announcement gives prospective students time to review the admission process before the new intake begins.
