Six artists have been shortlisted for Louvre Abu Dhabi Art Here 2026, an exhibition bringing contemporary perspectives from the Gulf and India to the museum's central plaza.

Announced by Louvre Abu Dhabi and Richard Mille, the selection follows more than 300 proposals. The artists are Ahaad Alamoudi, Almaha Jaralla, Muhammad Shamin Sahrum, Ravikumar Kashi, Reena Kallat and Vivek Vilasini.

This year's theme, Confluences, explores connections between people, places and histories. The sixth edition extends the initiative's reach to artists from India alongside the GCC, reflecting cultural exchange across the two regions.

Visitors can see the selected works beneath the museum's dome from 11 November 2026 to 28 February 2027. The artists will develop their proposals ahead of the opening, with the Richard Mille Art Prize winner receiving US$60,000 later in the season.

The announcement offers an early look at a coming addition to Abu Dhabi's cultural calendar, with new work spanning different materials and artistic approaches.
