Belgian electronic artist Lost Frequencies has released a new remix of ‘Majboor’, the viral track by Pakistani artists Sheheryar Rehan and Zoha Waseem.
The release brings the song’s melody into an electronic setting while retaining the emotion of the original, according to publicity material supplied to Gulf Good News.
The original track has connected with listeners across South Asia and the UAE, with the supplied release citing more than 250 million streams across platforms. Lost Frequencies said he was drawn to the song’s “timeless” character and the opportunity to bring its melodies to the dancefloor.
Sheheryar Rehan said the remix gives the track a new musical perspective while preserving its core feeling. Xulfi, co-founder of Giraffe Music Label, described the collaboration as part of a wider journey for Pakistani music to reach new audiences.
Listeners can find the release on Spotify and watch it on YouTube.
