Kuwait TV has shared its experience of using artificial intelligence in programme production and archive restoration at an Arab States Broadcasting Union workshop in Tunis.
Kuwait News Agency reported on 9 October that Talal Al-Haifi presented techniques for improving images and set design, creating virtual environments, and restoring older pictures, audio and video.
The discussion placed emphasis on preserving the original creative vision behind productions. Participants also considered how AI could support planning and technical execution.
Training, reliable data and human review were central to the workshop’s approach, alongside safeguards for image, sound and data rights. The discussion framed these tools as support for the work of journalists and directors.
