Kuwait’s Ministry of Education has held a workshop with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) to examine ways to evaluate schools and support their improvement.

The session took place on 4 November 2026 under the ministry’s cooperation agreement with the organisation. Education leaders, school principals and other staff attended.

International experience for stronger schools

Participants explored three areas: standards and methods for school evaluation, practical approaches to school improvement, and the role of school leadership.

The ministry said the discussions drew on international experience to help identify schools’ strengths and areas needing attention, then use those findings to shape development plans.

The workshop is part of the ministry’s effort to connect international cooperation with work inside Kuwait’s schools. It emphasised the value of exchanging experience and supporting continuous improvement in the learning environment.
