A new exhibition in Kuwait is putting children’s questions about mosque design at the centre of an exploration of Islamic art and craftsmanship.

Omar Al-Omar opened the Dar Al-Athar Al-Islamiyyah exhibition at the Americani Cultural Centre on 7 October 2026, representing the Prime Minister, according to the Kuwait News Agency.

In his opening remarks, Al-Omar linked the exhibition’s origins to children’s curiosity about how mosques are built and why their design receives such care. He highlighted the relationship between mosque architecture and craftsmanship throughout Islamic history.

Exhibition coordinator Maha Al-Issa said the aim was to give children room to ask questions, investigate and discover beauty in mosques.

KUNA reported that the exhibition would begin welcoming visitors on Thursday, 8 October. The report did not specify opening hours or admission arrangements.
