Emirati farmer Khadija Darwish Alqubaisi has been selected for FAO’s initiative recognising 100 women in agrifood systems and rural development, Emirates News Agency reported on 9 October.
Alqubaisi owns Nad Al Dhab farm in Al Ain. Her work includes promoting modern farming practices and involving school students in agricultural-awareness programmes.
The recognition forms part of the International Year of the Woman Farmer 2026. FAO’s official event calendar confirms a presentation ceremony at its Rome headquarters on 15 October, during the World Food Forum.
