Abu Dhabi, UAE — Kareena Kapoor Khan is set to perform at the IIFA Awards 2027 as the celebration of Indian cinema returns to Etihad Arena on Yas Island.

The organisers announced that Kapoor Khan will appear live at the awards ceremony on 23 January. The performance forms part of the 27th edition of IIFA Weekend & Awards, which will take place in Abu Dhabi on 22 and 23 January 2027.

A return to the IIFA stage

Kapoor Khan said the IIFA stage holds special memories for her and described its international audience as part of the event’s appeal. She added that returning to Abu Dhabi was particularly meaningful because the city brings cultures together and gives Indian cinema a welcoming home.

Her appearance adds another major name to the programme. IIFA’s official announcement for the 2027 edition lists a line-up that includes Salman Khan, Karan Johar, Shahid Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi and Ali Fazal.

IIFA returns to Yas Island

The 2027 event will be IIFA’s fourth showcase in Abu Dhabi. The two-day programme is expected to combine live performances, awards and appearances by figures from across the Indian film industry.
