The IIFA Awards 2027 will be livestreamed worldwide on YouTube, according to an organisers’ press release dated 24 September. The announcement also outlines plans for behind-the-scenes coverage and content involving creators.
The awards form part of the IIFA Weekend & Awards, taking place on 22–23 January 2027 at Etihad Arena on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. IIFA’s official event announcement confirms those dates and the venue.
The YouTube plans would give audiences outside the arena a way to follow the awards online. Alongside the main livestream, the proposed behind-the-scenes and creator content would offer additional coverage of the event, according to the release.
In remarks included with the announcement, YouTube’s Gunjan Soni described the partnership as a way to connect Indian cinema’s international audiences with its stories and stars. IIFA’s Andre Timmins said the event aimed to reach audiences beyond the arena.
