More than 580,000 people visited the Doorway to Abu Dhabi festival in Moscow, according to an Abu Dhabi Media Office report published on 4 September 2026.
Held in Manezhnaya Square, the festival brought Emirati cultural experiences to the Russian capital through traditional performances, craft demonstrations, food and coffee.
The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi presented the event as part of the Summer in Moscow programme, supported by Moscow’s government and the UAE Embassy in Russia.
Visitors encountered palm-leaf weaving, embroidery, pottery and coffee ceremonies. Al-Ayyala and Al Harbiya performances featured alongside Emirati musicians, while a domed pavilion used panoramic projections to introduce Abu Dhabi’s landscapes and cultural attractions.
The gathering offered a shared setting for visitors to discover Emirati traditions and hospitality, extending the cultural exchanges previously held between the two cities.
