The Bahrain Philharmonic Orchestra presented a programme of classical music at Bahrain National Theatre, led by Maestro Dr. Mubarak Najem, according to a Bahrain News Agency report carrying a 9 October dateline and published early on 10 October.

The concert featured compositions by Rossini, Beethoven, Mozart, Brahms and Tchaikovsky, drawing together music from different periods of the classical tradition.

Founded by Dr. Najem in 2022, the orchestra comprises more than 100 musicians and choir members. Its repertoire combines international classical works with compositions inspired by Bahrain’s musical heritage.

BNA noted Dr. Najem’s work in composition, conducting and music education, including contemporary pieces reflecting Bahrain’s musical identity. The performance adds to the orchestra’s continuing presence in the Kingdom’s cultural programme.
