AlUla has added seven companies to its accredited destination management partner programme, taking the network to 19 and expanding its connections with international travel markets.
The Saudi Press Agency reported the development on 4 October. The programme covers markets including the GCC, Europe, the United Kingdom, the United States, India, Russia, China and Latin America.
Destination management partners help connect travel organisers and visitors with local experiences. In AlUla, the network provides access to accommodation, tourism activities and events in the AlUla Moments calendar, spanning culture, sport and wellness.
The expansion comes alongside changes to transport capacity. SPA reports that AlUla International Airport's terminal area has grown by 44%, with annual passenger capacity increasing by 75% to 700,000.
The destination is served by direct flights from Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam, as well as year-round regional services from Doha. Together, the partner network and air links support visitors planning trips to AlUla's cultural and natural attractions.
