Two emerging leaders will be recognised alongside six lifetime achievement recipients at this year’s Abdullah Bin Hamad Al-Attiyah International Energy Awards in Doha.
The Al-Attiyah Foundation announced the new Young Energy Leader Award on October 5, expanding the ceremony’s focus to include people making an impact earlier in their careers.
The inaugural recipients will be named on October 20 at the Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel. All eight honourees are due to be revealed during the ceremony.
The foundation says the new category will recognise vision, achievements and influence in the energy sector, complementing awards that celebrate contributions sustained over decades.
More than 300 industry executives, policymakers, diplomats and other guests are expected to attend. Recipient names have not yet been announced.
