Al Hilal Healthcare Group has celebrated Bahraini Doctor’s Day by recognising its Bahraini medical professionals at a gathering in Muharraq. In a release dated 4 November 2026, the group said more than 50 Bahraini doctors work across its 11-branch network.

The celebration took place at the Celebration Hall of Al Hilal’s Muharraq branch, bringing together doctors from across the group. Chief executive Dr Sharath Chandran and Asif Mohammed, vice president for business and strategy, attended.

Recognition across medical specialties

Among those recognised were Dr Amer Al Derazi, consultant general surgeon and group head of medical services; Dr Mohammed Al Alawi, consultant urologist; Dr Huda Al Ansari, consultant paediatrician; Dr Nabeel Mohamed Mohamed Bastawicy, consultant in emergency medicine; and Dr Bushra Alsharaf, consultant in family medicine and medical director of the Salmabad branch.

The programme included commemorative gifts and activities acknowledging the doctors’ contributions. A patient-appreciation initiative across the branches invited people to submit messages to their doctors through QR codes.

Each doctor received an envelope containing personal messages from patients, which they could read during the celebration. Chandran described that moment as a reminder of the trust built between doctors and their communities.

Supporting Bahraini medical talent

Mohammed said Al Hilal would continue investing in doctors’ development through training and leadership opportunities. Al Derazi highlighted the importance of mentoring colleagues at the start of their careers.

The group said the occasion formed part of its ongoing work to recognise and support the medical professionals serving patients across Bahrain.
