Al Hilal Healthcare Group and Motor City Bahrain have launched Pink Drive in Muharraq, pairing breast health awareness activities with free screening for women in Bahrain.
The campaign was inaugurated at Al Hilal Hospital in Muharraq as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, according to a press release supplied by Al Hilal Healthcare Group.
Free screening and clinically indicated scans
The organisers say participants will be offered complimentary breast cancer screening. Mammograms and breast ultrasound scans will also be provided free of charge where clinically indicated, supporting further diagnostic assessment.
The initiative aims to reduce financial barriers to accessing these services while bringing breast health education into the community. Dr. Sharath Chandran, Al Hilal Healthcare Group’s chief executive officer, said the campaign was intended to make the first step towards screening easier and remove cost as a reason for delaying it.
Asif Mohammed, the group’s vice president for business and strategy, said combining education with free screening would help people act on the campaign’s message. Motor City Bahrain general manager Arun Ganesh Kumar described the partnership as part of the company’s commitment to community health.

The event included a presentation of the campaign’s objectives, addresses by representatives of both organisations, commemorative plaques and an official flag-off of Pink Drive’s outreach activities.
