Omani pharmaceutical companies signed four agreements and memoranda of understanding during CPHI Milan 2026, including a partnership for a proposed oncology medicines factory in Dhofar, Oman News Agency reported on 11 October.

Eight national pharmaceutical factories took part in the exhibition, with cooperation spanning local production and the exchange of manufacturing knowledge.

Dhofar Pharmaceutical Industries Company and Iraq’s Hydrogen Oncology Pharmaceuticals agreed to establish a specialist oncology drug factory at Raysut Industrial Estate. Dhofar Pharmaceutical Industries also signed a memorandum with Felix Pharmaceuticals on industrial integration and the use of production capacity.

Sharing manufacturing expertise

Jordan’s Sana Pharma and Oman’s National Pharmaceutical Industries Company signed a memorandum covering technical drug files and manufacturing expertise. A fourth agreement concerns technology transfer for producing a diabetes medicine in Algeria; ONA did not name the medicine or the companies involved.

The announcements describe agreements and intended cooperation. The report does not establish that the proposed factory is operating or that any new medicine has received regulatory approval.

Oman’s delegation included its health and commerce ministries and the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones. The participation focused on manufacturing partnerships, investment and technology exports.
