Nominations are open for the 2027 PublisHer Excellence Awards, celebrating women’s contributions to the book-publishing industry.
The initiative, founded by Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, recognises three categories: Emerging Leader, Innovation and Lifetime Achievement. Colleagues, mentors and peers can nominate candidates, and women can also put themselves forward.
Emirates News Agency reported that nominations close on 12 January 2027, with the awards due to be presented in April. The previous edition attracted 102 nominations from 34 countries.
The programme aims to give women across publishing greater professional recognition. This announcement opens the nomination cycle; it does not name the 2027 winners.
