The UAE has announced an urgent humanitarian response to support people affected by severe thunderstorms in Paraguay, Emirates News Agency reported on 10 October.
The UAE Aid Agency is organising the response under the directives of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The storms damaged homes and other property across parts of Paraguay, with assistance intended to help affected families meet immediate needs.
Agency chairman Dr Tareq Ahmed Al Ameri said teams were working with the UAE Embassy in Paraguay, local authorities and relevant international organisations to identify priorities and reach the hardest-hit communities.
The announcement concerns relief planning and coordination. It does not specify a completed delivery, shipment quantity or number of beneficiaries.
