Kuwait’s Abdulrahman Al-Enezi has reached the semifinals of the classical chess competition at the 2026 Asia-Pacific Deaf Games in Malaysia, Kuwait News Agency reported on 7 October.
Al-Enezi secured his place by defeating a Malaysian opponent, taking the Kuwaiti deaf sports team another step forward in the competition.
Khaled Al-Mutairi, chairman of the Kuwait Sports Club for the Deaf, attributed the achievement to the athletes’ determination and preparation. He said the squad was competing with ambition and a commitment to representing Kuwait strongly at the event.
The report confirmed Al-Enezi’s progress to the semifinal stage; it did not announce a final result or a medal.
