A digital platform designed to help institutions prepare environmental, social and governance reports was announced at a Doha conference on 6 October, according to Qatar News Agency.
Dr. Buthaina Al Ansari, chairperson of Hawkama International and president of the conference, said the platform would bring together data, indicators and disclosure requirements to make reporting more systematic.
She said it aims to help companies prepare reports based on international standards, while turning sustainability information into better decisions and measurable outcomes.
The announcement came at the third Environmental, Social and Governance Conference, a two-day gathering involving Qatar Chamber, Hawkama International and the UK-based Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals.
Qatar Chamber First Vice Chairman Mohamed bin Ahmed bin Twar Al Kuwari highlighted transparency, accountability and responsible business practices as ways to strengthen investor confidence and help companies manage risks.
