Qatar Foundation has recognised outstanding teachers, students and education teams through its Pre-University Education Awards 2026, Qatar News Agency reported on 6 October.
The awards formed part of a forum bringing teachers, learners and school leaders together to exchange classroom ideas and discuss Pre-University Education Vision 2040. The vision combines educational quality with identity, culture and values.
Mahmoud Mohammed Aladdasi of Qatar Leadership Academy received the Outstanding Teacher Award. Qatar Academy Msheireb’s Lina Othman won the Outstanding Practitioner Award, while its student Jassim Mohammed Al Mossalam received the Outstanding Student Award.
The Ejadah Team from PUE Central Departments earned the Outstanding Team Award, and the Islamic Civilization Curriculum Team received the Curriculum Excellence Award.
Pre-University Education President Abeer Al Khalifa highlighted the importance of helping young people develop critical thinking and responsible decision-making while staying connected to their heritage. She also emphasised teachers’ role in building confidence, curiosity and opportunities for students to discover their strengths.
