Qatar Assistive Technology Center, known as Mada, launched Taqdeer on 6 October, creating a single online reference for services and support available to senior citizens in Qatar.
The platform brings information together across nine areas. These include health and care, lifelong learning, transport, assistive technology, cultural and recreational activities, and emergency services and hotlines.
Its purpose is to help older people, their families and caregivers understand the available options and find the relevant service providers more easily, according to Qatar News Agency.
QNA reported that the platform was developed in accordance with global digital accessibility standards. The launch also supports a broader focus on independence and participation, alongside care, for older members of the community.
